New York Swim Week celebrated its fifth anniversary on July 26, delivering a bold, fashion-forward showcase under its vibrant “Interbloom” theme. The day featured two runway events with a high-impact 2 PM day show and a dramatic 5 PM evening show & presentation. The Runway Show was followed by an exclusive after-party at Virgin Hotel NYC.

Founder Evita Scoccia, a former model, stylist, and Vogue intern, built New York Swim Week (NYSW) from personal experience:

“I’ve walked the runways, packed the samples, and sat backstage dreaming of something more. NYSW is that ‘more’… not just for me, but for everyone who deserves a space to be seen.”

New York Swim Week plans to bring not only designers together but purpose in every season. The 5 year anniversary of the show is just the beginning of what is to come as the show continues to bloom. From showcasing new talent, new models, beauty teams that truly want to create, brands that deserve a platform and of course… sustainability efforts that will take us into the future together. New York Swim Week plans to continue its global growth with a plan and purpose.

ON THE RUNWAY – Designers & Top Models Take Over New York Swim Week

An international roster of 22 designers took to the runway on Saturday, presenting their collections before a dynamic audience of fashion editors, buyers, media, and creators who turned out in full support of New York Swim Week’s milestone showcase. The show which was sold out, showcased not only designers but talent on the runway that brought the designers vision to life.

UK’s Top Model Winner & Sustainability

UK’s Top Model Winner, Georgia Wood, walked the runway for Origin of Oceans, which is founded by Kathleen Bily whose purpose is sustainability and respecting the oceans that give us life. Kathleen has shown her swimwear collection in Austin, Miami, Ibiza and New York City in just 2 months… being one of the most viral brands in the Runway industry.

Shows & Models that grabbed our Attention

Octavia Gourlay, who is represented by Paris Runway Official walked in multiple shows on Saturday at the 2pm show and 5pm show and presentation. Her lineup included bringing Birds & B vision to life on the Runway, as well as Cocora Shop, whose owner, Nia Vasquez, is also the founder of Ibiza Swim Week and Columbia Swim Week. ‘THE SALES QUEEN’, Shelby Sapp who is known for teaching 400,000 women how to sell and sharing content on social media to her 890,000 followers walked for four runway designers on Saturday evening. It was the first time Shelby Sapp has ever taken to the runway stage, standing at just 5’2″. Yet, just as she is a pro in sales and in the boardroom… She was a pro on the runway as well. She walked the very last show of the evening as one of her four walks, which was for the Founder of New York Swim Week, Evita, and her brand Evita Swimwear in a beautiful butter yellow one piece.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR NEW YORK SWIM WEEK – Growth, Sustainability & Visually Thrilling

New York Swim Week 2025 didn’t just stage fashion shows but it reframed the swimwear category as intellectually compelling and visually thrilling. The designers used bold color palettes, unique cuts and swimwear that was for any body and shape. Many designers that displayed their collection on the Runway kept sustainability at the forefront as well. Between its global creative roster, immersive “Interbloom” aesthetic, and production-forward approach, NYSW solidified its place in the fashion calendar as a platform where swimwear commands runway legitimacy.

As we continue to see swimwear brands grow and take space in the fashion industry, we look forward to welcoming them. As it is not only compelling, but visually thrilling… something out of the ‘normal’ for the high fashion space, but maybe needed so we can all have a little fun at shows.
